Riots

We have been experiencing new tactic of street hooligans. In general they cause unrest and make their street law-breaking hardly seen using crowds. Voices are arising that perpetrators very likely will walk away safely without any criminal charge.

There has been ongoing discussion in the Parliament today regarding what causes behaviour as such. Some community members or politicians blame education and parents. Others see responsible for recent events impoverishment of communities. MP denies poverty reasons and says that for crime as such there is no justification or excuse. Mr Cameron says it should just meet 'robust police response'.
We see also voices blaming communication technology for recent looting, street murders and occurrences of arson. Supporters of such theory state that we should give up privacy and human rights to protect businesses and our physical security not just on the streets.
No doubt Mr Cameron defeats 6% cuts of policing costs in few years' scale very wisely. Numbers of first line police staff stated as a fraction of general amount of officers is a powerful argument. But undoubtedly fighting out bureaucracy 'to release' more police to the streets will not be so easy task as he would like it to be.

I only hope that we are not going to wake up in Orwell's 1984 one day.
